Gulfhaven is all about
relationships, with God and with one another.
From the early church's
inception in the first century, life
in Christ meant life in fellowship with
God and with other believers. Living
in fellowship simply means living in
relationship.
Acts 2:42 "They
devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching
and to the fellowship, to the breaking
of bread and to prayer."
At Gulfhaven, we also want
to represent a fresh expression of church
life and reach out with ministry that
is culturally relevant. Our service to
God and others is a vital part of Gulfhaven.
Our desire and goal in ministry is to
help everyone find their ‘right
fit’ with spiritual gifts based
ministry.
By design (on purpose),
Gulfhaven is a departure from the busyness
of traditional "church-life."
Members are not viewed as someone to fill
slots and to get jobs done. In the expression
of fresh church forms and functions, each
individual is affirmed as possessing the
highest value and importance. Paul tells
the Ephesian elders to “keep watch
over yourselves and all the flock…”
Gulfhaven Church seeks
to streamline church activity so that
church life or involvement does not become
counter productive to either individual
or family time. We identify what we call
"The Three Vital Involvements"
for everyone who is a part of the family
at Gulfhaven. They are Worship, Fellowship,
and Ministry involvement according to
spiritual gifts
