Some Typical Projects

Iglesia Amor Viviente - New Orleans has many church members whose homes need repair and rebuilding.

Homeowners who either had insurance, qualified for an SBA loan, or received FEMA money do not qualify as an MDS project. The problem for many homeowners is that these monies received are not enough to complete their projects.

Local leadership at Inglesia Amor Viviente - New Orleans has been and continues to do case work for every project. Volunteer teams and additional money from the church's Donation Fund will be assigned for each project. Home owners will be blessed to have their homes completed and their families back together in their homes.

Here are some typical home projects of members of Amor Viviente - New Orleans:

House #1 - House #2 and 3 - House #4 - House #5 - House #6 - House #7 - House #8
House #9 - House #10 - House #11 - House #12 - House #13 - House #14

House # 6
This house needs repairs in the garage (sheet-rock and insulation on the walls and the ceiling). They also need help to repair their fences. This family had just bought their first home two months before Katrina. Ironically the apartment where they lived before they bought the house was not damaged by the hurricane.

House # 7
This house needs fence repairs and some plumbing work in the kitchen. This is a single parent family with 3 children. They were renters and lost completely everything they owned in their apartment. The church provided housing for them for about 6 months after the hurricane, in the children's bible classrooms. Their tragedy became a blessing, because in the midst of everything God opened doors to make it possible for this family to become homeowners. The house needs minor repairs and because their only income is very low, they cannot afford to do the storm repairs on their own.

House # 8
This house needs to have walls finished, windows repaired, moldings installed in different areas of the house, new floors and work on bathrooms. The owners of this house had very low insurance coverage and they are doing the work themselves in order to stretch their budget and be able to complete their home repairs.
