Homeowners who either had insurance, qualified for an SBA
loan, or received FEMA money do not qualify as an MDS project.
The problem for many homeowners is that these monies received
are not enough to complete their projects.

Local leadership at Inglesia Amor Viviente - New Orleans
has been and continues to do case work for every project.
Volunteer teams and additional money from the church's Donation
Fund will be assigned for each project. Home owners will
be blessed to have their homes completed and their families
back together in their homes.
Here are some typical home projects of members of Amor Viviente

House # 12
This house needs help with painting kitchen cabinets and other
areas of the house. This is a very young newly wed couple,
beginning a new life together, and experiencing hard times
together, making their marriage stronger.
House
# 13
This is a condominium in need of some roof repairs: shingles
are missing and water is leaking through a sky light in the
roof. Some of the wood in the attic needs to be replaced,
sections of the gutters need to be replaced, and some plumbing
is also needed in the bathrooms. This is a couple that had
been married for two weeks before Katrina devastated their
apartment. The apartment was located on the third floor but
their roof was taken off by the strong winds of the hurricane,
allowing the rain to completely ruin all of their belongings,
and also all of their unwrapped wedding presents. Members
of this congregation have seen the hand of the Lord working
in their lives, performing miracles. For this couple the dream
of buying their own place was possible because God is good.
So they bought this little place with some but not serious
damages, and now they are in need of repairs. Also God has
giving them the joy of expecting their first baby.
House # 14
This is the house of praise and worship for Amor Viviente's
congregation. We still need repairs in the building. Plenty
has been done already, but we have not finish yet. The church
had no insurance coverage at all.
