The
weekend events marked a milestone that
is special ...
It was a time of fellowship,
a time in the Word, meals, and singing
praises to the Lord. The church steeple
is back up, and the damages from Katrina
to the church building and our homes
have been repaired. We were ready for
a celebration.
Along with the rebuilding celebration
the postponed mortgage burning that
was scheduled for last fall took place!
Over the past 14 months over 200 clean
up projects and over 80 home rebuild
projects were completed by over 1,100
volunteers from more than 22 states
and Canada who worked out of Gulfhaven.
At the same time repairs were being
made to the church building.
"The
Lord sits enthroned over the flood,
the Lord is enthroned as King forever.
The Lord gives strength to his people;
the Lord blesses his people with peace."
