Volunteers from Indiana
and Arizona were at Gulfhaven this week.
At the end of nine weeks of Gulfhaven/MDS
clean-up work, 135 volunteer workers from
12 states have been housed at the church, helping
church members as well as other people in the area
with clean-up, tarping roofs and gutting drywall and
insulation from flooded homes (103 finished jobs).
MDS now has directors in the area who will
continue the clean-up efforts with sites in Saucier
and Pass Christian.
Please keep the rebuilding phase at Gulfhaven
Mennonite Church for its family units with irrecoverable
losses from the hurricane in your prayers. This will
be a major undertaking for our local church. Pray
that God will provide the money for materials and
the volunteer crews to do the reconstruction work. |
