Just before Christ returns in verse 11 of this chapter,
we get a glimpse of what is happening in heaven. In the
first 10 verses we find heaven shouting 'hallelujah' and
the Wedding Supper of the Lamb taking place. It's like
'the happy ending' after all the devastation and the end
of the world.
When Christ returns the most famous battle in history,
Armageddon takes place. Believers in heaven get up from
the Wedding Supper and follow with Christ. The Antichrist
summons all the armies of the world to gather in the Middle
East. At Armageddon Christ puts an end to the kingdom
of evil and the fallen world as we presently know it.
Titus 2:13-14, "...we wait for the blessed hope
- the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior,
Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from
all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that
are his very own…"
