The setting for the teaching on The Lord's Supper was
around a lack of unity in the church at Corinth. Paul
calls the church to reflect on what Jesus has done for
believers and then what we as believers ought to do for
one another with the observance of The Lord's Supper.
The Eucharist, The Lord's Supper, The Lord's Table,
Communion - we give thanks as we partake, we remember
what Christ has done, and we refresh our minds about
the kind of people we ought to be. |
