There is a common misconception in the Christian world that if you are doing the Lord's will, you will not suffer hardships. The truth of the matter is that bad things can and do happen to good people.

How can we make meaning of and understand difficult times? When our loving heavenly Father either wills or allows for suffering what are His purposes in it? Let's keep building our confidence during uncertain times in these first few verses of chapter four.
