If this is the first time
you are joining us for worship, here is what to expect
and some
answers to common questions.
Where do you meet?
At 10:30 a.m. we gather for worship
in the main
sanctuary, just inside the front entrance.
How should I dress?
We have a friendly and casual atmosphere,
but dress the way you feel most comfortable. People dress
in jeans to business casual or a suit and tie. But don’t
worry about what to wear.
Do I need to bring anything?
No, but feel free to bring
a Bible to follow along as Pastor Nelson preaches.
Will I have to stand up and introduce myself?
Newcomers
and visitors do not introduce themselves during the Sunday
service; however, you will have a chance to meet and shake
hands with the people around you.
What is the service like?
Our service is informal, with
worship songs and hymns before the sermon. There is a time
of prayer and announcements. The entire service usually
lasts about an hour and a half.
Where do I park?
Ample parking is on our lot in front of
the church just off of Mennonite and Gulfhaven Roads. >>>Directions
Where should I go once inside the
building?
Feel free to mingle around once inside. There’ll
be greeters to answer any questions and welcome you.
Where do the children go?
There is a nursery for newborn
through Pre-K during the Worship Service. For children
(age 5 through Grade 6) there is a Children's Church or
an activity packet provided during the
Worship Service.
Is there a class to learn more about
Gulfhaven?
Yes, there is! Our pastor teaches a class called "What's
Gulfhaven All About?" on a regular
basis. This is a great way for people who are interested
to hear more about Gulfhaven. There is no obligation to
join the church should you be interested in the class;
however, it is the way to membership at Gulfhaven.
